Looking for ways to get in a few extra steps each day? Paid Workout has you covered!
When it comes to creating a healthy lifestyle, sometimes it’s the things we do outside of our workout that can make a big difference.
It’s important to remember that movement is still movement, and that it doesn’t necessarily take a pair of yoga pants or a trip to the gym to count towards your daily activity!
At Paid Workout, you can earn cold hard cash just by moving! So, whether you’re running every day or dancing with your kids, you have a great chance of winning the weekly pot of money! Get inspired with tips on how to move more during your day.
Adding More Movement To Your Day
Our lives are busy, and no matter who you are, you always have things pop up that require your time and attention. From last-minute client meetings to a sick kid, your schedule is ever-changing, which can make getting to the gym or getting your workout in seem impossible some days.
When there’s no time for a full workout, try these things to move more!
Watch And Workout
If the evenings are when you get to relax and catch up on your favorite show — or two — devote one of those shows to watching and working out. If you have a treadmill, elliptical, or bike trainer, set those up in front of the TV or on another device.
No exercise equipment? No problem! Break a sweat by doing a bodyweight HIIT while watching TV.

Get Moving On Your Lunch Break
It’s easy to just want to veg out on your lunch break, but this is the perfect opportunity to get moving. Listen to your favorite podcast or audiobook and go for a walk, or do a quick bodyweight workout — don’t overthink it!
Dance It Out
Can you spare 10 to 15 minutes? Then you have time to dance it out! Dancing is one of the best ways to get more movement in, and trust us, you’ll feel so much better afterward. Put on your favorite dance playlist and dance wildly!
Walk And Talk
If you’re in an industry where you still meet with other team members in person, try taking your meetings outside. Go for a walk and tackle the meeting topic while you all get fresh air and sunshine.
Similarly, if you have a friend who wants to meet up for coffee or a lunch date, suggest doing something active instead. Plan a hike, walk downtown and window shop, break out the rollerblades, or take a leisurely bike ride.
One more way to get moving is to walk around the office. Instead of sending a chat or an email, get up from your desk and go talk to your co-worker in person. It feels so good to get up from your workstation and move your legs!
Play On The Playground
If you have kids, you know how excited they are when you make a trip to the park. Instead of being a bystander, play with your kids on the playground. Swing, slide, and climb your way to more movement in your day.
Park Far Away
Whether you’re going into the office or running errands, park as far away from the building as you can, because, every step counts! That little extra walk from the parking lot to the store adds up.
Do An Exercise Every Hour, On The Hour
A great way to get moving and break up your day is to do an exercise every hour, on the hour. This could be push-ups, sit-ups, mountain climbers, etc. — pick an exercise each day and set some alarms!
While this seems like a real bummer, not only are you killing two birds with one stone, but you’ll be amazed at how many extra steps you take and calories you’ll burn doing basic chores. Try things like vacuuming and cleaning your bathrooms, or raking leaves, mowing your lawn, or gardening.
